Description of Program: The fellowship includes a combination of facial cosmetic surgery and  reconstructive procedures. The fellow will be trained in soft tissue Facial Cosmetic Surgery (Facelift, Blepharoplasty, Rhinoplasty), Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery/ TMJ Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology, Orthognathic Surgery, Hair Transplant Surgery, Implantology, and Microneurosurgery with nationally recognized experts.

Fellows will be directly involved in patient care including: consultation, surgery and post-operative care. Routine instruction and teaching will be provided along with reading assignments designated by the senior faculty.

The main location is in a Joint Commission accredited facility and Northside Hospital and associated out patient facilities. 

Faculty: Primary Faculty; Husain Ali-Khan, DMD, MD, FACS (Cosmetic Surgeon/ Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon/ Hair Restoration Surgeon); Shahrokh Bagheri, DMD, MD, FACS, FICD (Oral Maxillofacial/Reconstructive/Microneuro Surgeon); Carey Nease, MD (ENT and Cosmetic Surgeon).  Support faculty: Dr Fara Movagarnia (Plastic Surgeon).

Prerequisites for Fellows: Fellows must qualify per the AACS fellowship guidelines. They must be able to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Fellows that are oral and maxillofacial surgeons can obtain a Georgia dental license prior to the fellowship start date. Fellows must also obtain personal malpractice insurance. Fellows must be board eligible from one of the surgical specialties listing in the AACS fellowship guidelines.
