We are proud to announce that Dr. Eugene G. Bestman will be
joining our practice in July 2026 as the Facial Cosmetic and
Reconstructive Surgery Fellow for the 2026–2027 academic year. Dr.
Bestman brings exceptional surgical training, leadership, and a
passion for advancing facial aesthetics and reconstructive care.
During his fellowship, he will focus on facial trauma,
reconstructive surgery, and aesthetic facial procedures, further
developing his expertise while contributing to our practice’s
mission of surgical innovation and patient-centered excellence.
Dr.
Bestman earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the
University of Maryland School of Dentistry and holds dual
Bachelor’s degrees in Biological Sciences and Neuroscience from
the University of Delaware. He is completing his residency in Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in
Torrance, California—one of the nation’s premier trauma
centers—where he has gained extensive experience in dentoalveolar,
orthognathic, trauma, and reconstructive surgery. Under the
mentorship of leading surgeons, he has distinguished himself
through his surgical precision, ethical integrity, and dedication
to patient care.
Originally from Ghana, Dr. Bestman
immigrated to the United States as a child and has demonstrated
resilience, humility, and an unwavering drive throughout his
academic and professional journey. His background has instilled in
him a deep respect for opportunity, hard work, and service to
others—qualities reflected in his compassionate approach to
medicine. As both a clinician and scholar, Dr. Bestman has
published research in General Dentistry and presented work on
tongue biomechanics and speech function, while also maintaining
active involvement in community outreach and resident
leadership.

dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in facial
surgery. Dr. Bestman’s blend of technical excellence, integrity,
and empathy makes him an ideal addition to our team. He looks

where he will provide advanced trauma and reconstructive care
while refining his aesthetic expertise as part of our
distinguished fellowship program.
